Chapman’s Makes Award-Winning Ice Cream
Chapman’s is continually striving to create exciting, new ice cream products all Canadians can enjoy. We’ve won numerous awards over the years.
Here are a few recent highlights!
Chapman’s scooped significant accolades at the 2025 International Ice Cream Consortium (IICC) conference, including Ice Cream Maker of the Year.
Chapman’s took home gold with Best Technical Solution of 2025 at the International Ice Cream Consortium (IICC) conference, which recognized the innovative training program focused on continuous freezers.
Chapman’s introduced Sweetgrass ice cream and won first place for Most Innovative Ice Cream, a distinctive creation in partnership with Indigenous Chef Zach Keeshig. Awarded at the International Ice Cream Consortium (IICC) conference.
Among other awards received by Chapman’s at IICC 2025, Vanilla Trilogy Super Premium Plus ice cream secured second place for Best Vanilla Ice Cream.
Chapman’s secured a third place win in the Best Ice Cream category for Peach Melba Super Premium Plus ice cream, which draws inspiration from a classic French dessert. Awarded at the IICC 2025.
Chapman’s was awarded second place in the Best Commercial Solution category at the IICC 2025. This recognition honoured Chapman’s creative approach to navigating tariffs and the active participation in the “Support Canadian” movement.
Chapman’s has topped the charts in the Great Canadian Brand Index (GCBI) from the Toronto Metropolitan University. From a pool of many other iconic Canadian brands, Chapman’s takes home the title of Canada’s Most Valued Brand!
In 2024, the International Ice Cream Consortium (IICC) awarded the Best Caramel Ice Cream award to our Super Premium Plus Salty Caramel Crunch ice cream!
In 2024, the International Ice Cream Consortium (IICC) awarded the silver medal in their Best Ice Cream category to our Super Premium Plus Cherry Cheesecake ice cream!
In 2024, the International Ice Cream Consortium (IICC) awarded the bronze medal in their Most Innovative Ice Cream category to our Super Premium Plus Cold Brew Coffee ice cream!
Every year ChickAdvisor announces the best-of in each product category based on ratings and reviews collected over the past 12 months by real Canadian consumers. In 2024, our Yukon Strawberry Shortcake Crunch Ice Cream Bars were voted #1!
Our Super Premium Plus Cold Brew Coffee won Product Of The Year in the ice cream category, from a survey of 4,000 people by Kantar.

In 2022, the International Ice Cream Consortium (IICC) awarded Chapman’s with the Best Chocolate Ice Cream for our Premium The Only Chocolate ice cream.
In 2022, two of our products were voted #1 in two separate categories:
- Canadian Peaches & Cream Frozen Yogurt was voted #1 in Frozen Yogurt
- Maple Crunch Ice Cream was voted #1 in Ice Cream

In 2017, Chapman’s received the Family Enterprise of the Year award from The Family Enterprise Xchange, an independent association of Canada’s business families and family enterprise professional advisors.
In 2016, the International Ice Cream Consortium (IICC) awarded Chapman’s awards in 3 out of 5 categories – including Best Ice Cream (for our Premium Caramel Saucy Spots), Most Innovative Ice Cream, and Ice Cream Maker of the Year. In addition, we were recognized by a panel of our peers for our operational and market achievements.
In 2015, the IICC awarded Chapman’s the Most Innovative Ice Cream award for our Premium Canadian Collection Oatmeal Stickwich Cookie. Stickwich is a one-of-a-kind Chapman’s creation – ice cream half-dipped in chocolate with a single cookie on a stick.
Product of the Year is the world’s largest consumer-voted award for product innovation. Chapman’s received this award in 2014, thanks to the votes of thousands of Canadians.
Reader’s Digest holds an annual Trusted Brand™ Study, where more than 4,000 Canadians vote on their most trusted brands across 32 product categories. Chapman’s was recognized as one of Canada’s most trusted brands in 2010.
